About Us

The Scintillon Institute for Biomedical and Bioenergy Research is a non-profit research institute, founded in 2012 using seed funding from Allele Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals. The primary focus of the institute is the development and application of new biologically-based technologies to address the fundamental needs of our growing world civilization, including novel tools for biological imaging in aging and cancer research, as well as innovative approaches to attaining sustainable energy and food production.

Surprisingly, many of the same technologies can be applied to these seemingly unconnected problems, as well as many others.

For more information on our institute, please browse our Research and Investigators pages.
